Are you ready for the Manchester Games 2012?!

This year Manchester Games will be on the 3rd of March.

Malaysian Student Society of Manchester (MSSM) committee have a big vision to make Manchester Games2012 fun ,exciting and exhilarating !

Every year we have a Manchester Malaysian Games to unite the thousands of Malaysians studying here in the United Kingdom.

Through sports, as described in our slogan this year
'Sports Connects Us'. It cultivates the spirit of teamwork and promotes positive competition through various sporting events.

Muhammad Ali once said , champions are not made in the gym , champions are made from something they have deep inside them ; desire , dream ,vision. That sums up who we are as Malaysians.

Besides sports , there will also be a Food Festival. There will be various booths set up , featuring the rich diversity and flavours of authentic food we are proud of . Our aim is not solely to entertain our palate but maximize the given opportunity to share with many others a glimpse of our culture, specifically spelt out through food. In addition to food tasting , the organizing committee has decided to add a slight twist to the festival such as Can Toss, Dart Game and Guessing game to entertain not only the palate, but also your hear and mind. Is laughter no the best medicine after all?

MANCHESTER GAMES 2012





           

The latest thing that the MSSM committee is working on is… Manchester Games 2012! Yup, it’s one of our two flagship events. And it’s finally on its way. I can feel excitement all around. Haha. Anyway, for the uninitiated, MGames 2012 is basically a day to celebrate sports through the gathering of fellow Malaysians all across the UK in one city: Manchester. We’ve got plenty of different sports to cater to the liking of the many participants we’ll be expecting. It’s all happening on 3 MARCH 2012.

Besides that, we’ve got a special event never before held at any single MGames before, and that is the TELEMATCH! What is it? If I tell you, it wouldn’t be special anymore, now would it. So you’ll have to come to find out. Hehe. And what is a Malaysian-run event without the ubiquitous Food Fair. Rest assured, MSSM has got that covered. The food fair is bound to please the palate and be easy on the pocket. Haha.
